About Our Service
A bathroom should be more than just functional. It’s where you start your day and where you unwind in the evening. That’s why renovating a bathroom is about creating a space that is comfortable, practical and planned around the way you use the room.
At AKA Construction, we manage bathroom renovations around the practical needs of your home. We coordinate the agreed work, keep the different stages organised and make sure you know what to expect while the room is out of use.
You have one team coordinating the different stages, so you know who to speak to while the bathroom is out of use.
Our Approach
The right bathroom layout depends on who uses the room and what needs to work better.
For a busy family bathroom, storage and easy everyday use may be the priority. An en-suite may need to make better use of a compact space, while a cloakroom needs to be practical without feeling cramped.
We begin by understanding these requirements and agreeing the scope of the renovation. The work is then organised around the chosen fixtures, finishes and any structural changes required.
Our Services
The scope of the renovation will depend on the existing room and what you want to change.
Layout and Project Planning
We begin by discussing how the bathroom is used, what is not working and what you want the finished room to provide.
Structural
Alterations
Where required and appropriate for the property, we can coordinate structural alterations to improve the layout or create a larger bathroom.
Bathroom Installation and Finishing
We coordinate the agreed installation and finishing work so that the different elements are completed in the correct order.
Specialist
Trades
Where plumbing, electrical or other specialist work is required, we coordinate the relevant trades as part of the wider renovation.
Tiling, Flooring and Decorating
Where included in the agreed scope, tiling, flooring and finishing work can be coordinated as part of the bathroom renovation, helping the room feel complete and consistent.
Project
Management
We keep the work organised, communicate with you throughout and provide one team to oversee the different stages of the renovation.
About AKA Construction
A bathroom renovation can be particularly disruptive because the room is used every day. Before work begins, we discuss practical arrangements with you, including access to another bathroom or WC where relevant.
During the renovation, we protect surrounding areas, keep the work organised and let you know how the project is progressing. We also explain when the room will be unavailable and what to expect before it can be used again.
This helps reduce uncertainty and makes it easier to plan around the work.

How We Work
We discuss how the bathroom is currently used, what you want to improve and any practical concerns you have about the renovation.
We assess the existing layout, access, services and any structural considerations that may affect the proposed work.
We agree the work involved and coordinate any structural or specialist input required before the renovation begins.
Once work starts, we manage the different stages, keep you informed and coordinate the agreed installation and finishing work.
We review the completed bathroom with you and make sure the agreed work has been finished before handover.
Get In Touch

FAQ
The timescale depends on the size of the room, the work involved and whether structural alterations or specialist input are required. We will provide an expected programme once we have assessed the bathroom and agreed the scope.
Where the property and existing layout allow, a structural alteration may help create a larger or more practical bathroom. We will assess what is possible and coordinate structural engineer and Building Control input where required. Learn more about structural alterations
